Who can apply
South African owned businesses, preferably operating in Outer West, eThekwini
Minimum 51% black ownership
Annual turnover of R50m or less
Registered with CIPC
Tax compliant
Operating for minimum one year (preferred)
Currently operating (preferred), or with a clear plan to get into the business of chicken - be it feed, production (eggs, chicks, layers or broilers), slaughtering, packaging, marketing, logistics, value addition or other related to the chicken sector
How it works
Complete your application before Friday 4 November 2022
Applicants will be assessed by a panel of experts. Qualifying candidates will be invited to a workshop in the week of 5 December 2022 to assist them to develop a compelling business pitch
These qualifying candidates will be invited to a “Dragons’ Den” event on in the week of 12 December 2022 where the winning candidates will be selected
Winning candidates will receive support to scale their business and a share of R300 000 in funding (was R 250 000)
